Those with thyroid stress tend to have altered metabolisms. This can be due to several reasons: essential amino acid deficiencies, mineral deficiencies (particularly iodine, selenium, and magnesium), and/or signaling issues within the pituitary and parathyroid glands. Feelings of lethargy and depression are also common with extended thyroid stress.
