Flaxseed Oil: Healing Benefits for Many Diseases

An excellent source of Omega 3 oil is flax seed oil. Flax seed oil has been shown to have benefit for many diseases, including atherosclerosis, asthma, hypertension, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, psoriasis, depression, PMS and many musculoskeletal problems. The recommended dose is one tablespoon of flaxseed oil per day. This can be mixed with a low fat cottage cheese or soy milk. Flax seed oil is available from health food stores and nutritional outlets in liquid form. It is sensitive to heat and light and should be kept refrigerated in an opaque container. Its shelf life varies from one to six months.
