Still Foam Rolling Your Thigh? ?

Foam rolling is often prescribed for Iliotibial band pain relief (ITB). However, new research has found a couple of interesting points:

1. Rolling can sometimes increase sprint performance and flexibility and reduce muscle pain

2. The effects of foam rolling on performance and recovery are usually “rather minor”

3. The evidence seems to justify the widespread use of foam rolling as a warm-up activity rather than a recovery tool
