The Journal of the American Medical Association has weighed in on the benefits of a low-carb diet such as Atkins and keto & the results are interesting.

The study concluded that eliminating carbs is great for weight loss… HOWEVER… Consuming good carbs (like the carbs in whole-grains, fruits & vegetables) actually helps to lower the risk of illnesses like cardiovascular disease & cancer.
